2024 Prieler Rosé Vom Stein
• Burgenland-Neusiedlersee, Austria
• 100% Blaufränkisch
• Certified Organic
The Prieler estate in Schützen am Gebirge, on the western shore of Lake Neusiedl, is a historic farm now devoted entirely to viticulture. Since 1972, when Engelbert and Irmgard Prieler shifted the focus to quality winegrowing, the family has specialized in Blaufränkisch and Burgundian varieties. Today, Georg Prieler farms 20 hectares between the Leithagebirgeand the lake, whose cooling influence tempers the Pannonian heat. With around 2,000 annual sunshine hours and low rainfall, North Burgenland is among Central Europe’s sunniest regions. Limestone-rich sites like Seeberg and Sinner yield precise Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, while iron-rich Johanneshöhe and schist-laced Goldberg produce distinctive Blaufränkisch. Silvia Prieler, PhD in biochemistry, contributes international cellar experience, including time at Domaine Dujac. Meticulous vineyard work and selective harvesting ensure balance, ripeness, and finesse.
Tasting Notes: Fresh strawberry, white cherry, and rose petal aromas with crisp acidity and a stony, mineral finish. Pair with grilled prawns, Niçoise salad, charcuterie, sushi, or light Mediterranean vegetable dishes.
2021 Heidi Schröck & Söhne Pinot Pét-Nat
• Neusiedlersee-Huggeland, Austria
• 70% Pinot Blanc, 30% Pinot Gris
• Organic
In 1983, Heidi Schröck assumed leadership of her family winery in Rust, near the Hungarian border and the shores of Lake Neusiedl. South-facing vineyards encircle the village in a natural amphitheater, benefiting from abundant sunshine and sandy, clay-laced soils rich in calcium—ideal for producing powerful, characterful wines. Named Falstaff “Vintner of the Year” in 2003, Heidi is among the few women to receive this honor. She revived historic grapes such as Furmint and Muscat-Lunel alongside Grauburgunder, Weissburgunder, and Welschriesling. A longtime leader of Cercle Ruster Ausbruch, she champions the return of Ruster Ausbruch, a botrytized sweet wine once lost after phylloxera. Today, her twin sons Johannes and Georg work beside her, preserving tradition while exploring new varieties and winemaking approaches.
Tasting Notes: Fresh and youthful style with notes citrus, herbs and minerality, with soft aromas of apples, pear skins and lemon sugar cookies. Pair with charcuterie, grilled prawns, fried chicken, or margherita pizza.

Weingut Nibiru is a boutique, forward-thinking winery in Nibiru Wines, located in northern Kamptal, Austria.
