2023 Lo-FI Albariño Skin Contact
• Santa Barbara, CA
• 100% Albariño
• Organic
Lo-Fi Wines is a California-based natural winery founded by Mike Roth and Craig Winchester. Embracing a minimalist philosophy, Lo-Fi produces wines with little to no intervention—no additives, native yeast fermentations, and minimal sulfur. The focus is on honest expression of grape and terroir, primarily using varietals like Cabernet Franc, Gamay, and Chenin Blanc from sustainably farmed vineyards in Santa Barbara County. Winemaker Mike Roth, formerly of Martian Ranch & Vineyard, brings a punk rock ethos to winemaking—raw, authentic, and approachable. He believes wine should be "delicious and nothing else," prioritizing drinkability and balance over polish. Lo-Fi's wines often undergo whole cluster fermentation, are unfiltered, and aim for lower alcohol. With vibrant labels and a love for vinyl records, Lo-Fi Wines blurs the line between art, culture, and craft—championing wine as a relaxed, everyday experience.
Tasting Notes: This Albariño orange offers zesty citrus, dried apricot, and herbal tea notes with a textured, tannic grip. Pair with grilled octopus, spicy Thai curry, or aged Manchego for a vibrant match.

Through thoughtful sourcing and skilled winemaking, she delivers wines that are both serious and seriously fun.

Nibiru Red Tradition Liter
• Kamptal, Austria
• Zweigelt/ Merlot
• Biodynamic
Nibiru is a small, biodynamic winery based in Thürneustift, at the northern edge of Austria’s Kamptal region. Founded by Josef Schmid and Julia Nather, Nibiru farms eight hectares organically and earned Demeter certification in 2022. Their top site, Goldnagel, features old vines on quartz and amphibolite soils, with no chemically farmed neighbors—making it ideal for regenerative farming and permaculture. The duo creates compost from grape pomace, horse manure, and straw, hand-manages vine rows, and lets native plants grow wild between them. In the cellar, Josef leads a low-intervention approach: hand-harvested fruit, spontaneous fermentations (including natural malo), minimal sulfur and no fining or filtration. Named after a mythical planet traveling against the norm, Nibiru reflects Julia and Josef’s distinct vision for Kamptal: precise, pure, quietly expressive wines that marry classical finesse with a natural soul.
Tasting Notes: It bursts with ripe red and black fruit—think cherries, blackberries, and plums—balanced by fresh herbal notes and a bright, mouthwatering acidity. Earthy, slightly funky undertones add complexity, while over three years of barrel aging lend depth and structure. Perfect for festive gatherings or casual dinners, this wine pairs beautifully with roast poultry, charcuterie, grilled vegetables, or mushroom-based dishes.
